I would also like to see a "search" function that could search one forum or all of them. Saw a great deal on Pampers someplace for Rite Aid and now I can't find it!!!
Also, is there any way to compress the Q database so it takes less paper to print. Once a month I print it to keep with my Q's in my car (in a small filing cabinet) so I can have it in case I run across good deals like clearance items at the grocery. Today I printed it and it took 58 pages! Would like to cut this down if I can. Waste of trees and space. Thanks! |

OK search button is at the top of the page in the blue bar.
Second question, you can check the part of the database you what to print by clicking on the boxes beside the coupons. I haven't kept up but was doing this with each weeks inserts so I would know what I had after I cross out the ones not available in my paper. Put them in front of your inserts and very easy to keep up with what you have. Hope this helps. Blessings and Hugs, "Angel" |

Litsa, thanks for the quick reply. I know the search at the top but it's just for that particular thread and sometimes things are in other areas of the forum. So I'd like to be able to search the entire forum for what I'm looking for. Correct me, but I think the one we have searches only that thread.
Yes, I've used the check-off often, or cut and paste so I can put all my various stores on one page or two each week. But once a month I print the entire database to use with my main chronological file which I keep in my car. There are lots of spaces between entries, so I thought if I could single-space the coupon database I would have about half the pages to print. It's just me - I try to be as efficient with my time and resources as I can - and that's why I LOVE CM! |

I'm pretty sure that the search function searches the whole forum. Also, once you open up the search box, if you click on "advanced", you can customize your search to search whichever categories you want.
I set up a spreadsheet in Excel and I import the grocery coupon database into it. Then I adjust my margins and columns to use my paper more efficiently and print the list from there. I also print on the backs of previously used paper. It generally prints in about 18 - 20 pages. |

There are two search functions. One for threads and one for the whole forums.
To the person wondering why any of us would want the whole coupon data base printed, some of us actually use the no clip method for our coupons. Blessings and Hugs, "Angel" |

Oh I see then you would just look at the list since you don't have the coupons cut out. That makes since. Do you feel that the no clip method is easier?

I would like to take the Q database and download it into Excel so I can do some formatting and then when I print the entire DB each month, it won't take up so many pages. I keep the DB with me in the file of Q's at all times. If I see something on a clearance table, I can run to the car, check the DB, find the Q and get a great deal. It is also helpful if the Coupon Database is not available for some reason. This rarely happens but does on occasion (like the hacker thing a couple of weeks ago.) BTW you guys did a great job getting back up quickly. Can someone better on the computer than I am explain the steps on how to download the database into Excel and format it? Thanks - this would really be helpful.
