    Default Money Saving Home Remedies

There are some really neat ways to save by making your own products for cleaning, gardening, petcare, healthcare, etc. For example, I am a new resident of Georgia and cannot figure out how to remove red clay stains from door jams, socks, shoes, etc. I find conflicting info all over the web on this problem. This stuff sticks to everything. A home remedy forum would be a nice addition to coupon savings. Thanks.

What part of GA did you move to? As for clay... have you tried just soap and water? or maybe a diluted bleach solution?

Although I have not tried the Mr. Clean sponge I purchased yet, My GF swears by it!! I have used the dry powder OXY clean diluted in really hot water and was amazed - I realize this is not a homemade product but worked wonders.

You're gonna love your Mr. Clean sponges, Mouse. They work on just about anything and everything.

I soak my whites in Oxy-clean overnight, and they've never been so white.

I like to use baking soda to scrub almost everything, pots and pans, sinks, shoes, etc. Non-toxic too. I usually buy it at Wags on sale for $0.50 a box.
