Unhappy How do you possibly get so much money

Hi, I am new at this couponing thing and I normally shop at walmart, due to the fact that Bi-lo, food lion, and Ingles in our area are so expensive. So how do you without cheating, or stealing possibly able to go to these expensive stores and walk out with so much and pay practically nothing. Even if I go in Bi-lo and they double coupon it still more expensive there than me going to Walmart and using my coupon on the same product(no double Couponing aloud there) and still pay less. Please help!!!☺☺☺☺☺☺

Well i dont have any of those stores in my area, but i know like food lion has store coupons. You can use store coupons with manufacture coupons for more savings. also check with what is on sale, and go from there. Walmart I find will not save u much money. they dont double, nor are they coupon friendly at all. too me they are only good on certain items, like cereal or staple items. You are not going to come out of the grocery store with paying nothing. You have to build up your coupon stash, and look for the sales, and use their store coupons. You will start to see a difference in week to week, but anything saved is a good thing. Always look for meat on sale for 2.00 or less a pd. , and then stock up on that meat. If they have bogo deals use two coupons for each item. You can use a coupon for the free item. And again stack their store coupons. You will soon see a signaficant amount of savings soon. do not get discouraged. Read these forums and they will help you out alot. I have pm'ed you a message in your inbox for further help.

    Strategy.
You find out what's on sale and you buy as many as makes sense with a coupon.
So yes for BI-LO look for BOGO deals and use 2 coupons.
Need more coupons? Buy extra papers, ask friends & neighbors, check for internet printables.
You may not get all your groceries for nothing, but you can save 50%+ every week.

You have to be picky, and work the sales with your coupons. Does Ingles still double, too? I've ticked off the hubby by bringing home groceries from our vacation in Maggie Valley, because they had some sale items, that I used Q's for. I don't find tons of stuff at Bilo, but for the few items I get for free or soda's I get cheap when they're on sale, they're worth a quick trip.

Bilo had some roasts, and the split bone in breasts this week at a pretty good price.

Smile Keep clipping and watching the sales...

    I agree...strategy....

If the brand name item is on sale + coupon = price less than the store brand...I buy it.

If the price is more than the private label(store brand), I stick to the store brand.

I have been on this site for almost 2 months now...we just had our 1st great shopping trip...$97 for $35 !

    Don't give up !!

What everyone else had said here makes so much sense. I don't have your stores except for walmart. The one piece of advice I would give you is on the things you aren't able to get cheaper elswhere when on sale and with a coupon, check the size at walmart. Walmart has such a large market that some manufacturers are creating walmart only items, the sizes are just a little smaller and the packaging material may be a little different. It's not the case with everything but I've noticed one in particular that we use a lot. Jimmy dean skillet meals are in a smaller package. I don't mind b/c my family is pretty small but If you are basing cost on price per package instead of price per ounce, you may be getting less than you thought.

I can't emphasize enough what everyone else has been saying you've gotta learn the sale prices and match your coupons with those. You may not be getting everything you need this way but eventually you'll learn the cycle and buy enough of your favorite thing to last
