Staple and clip all coupons, then file the ones I will use in the binder and stick the others in a Alpha accordian.

PS..Im a rightie and I have sheared off my fare share expiration dates.

I get multiple papers so I find it easier to staple and clip everything. It seemed to take more time to selectivly clip. From there I file almost every thing in my binder. The coupons I'll never use I'll put in a monthly envelope just in case. It works out to be easier for me to go through the inserts once vs each week when I see the new ads and then have to go through the inserts again and again throughout the months. I could never remember which ones I had used before I used this system. It's also a lot quicker for me to put together trades by having everything in a binder vs going through the inserts each time I put together I trade.

I clip ,sort, file everything..I use to do only coupons that I know Im using or may use, but I found out I miss some really good deals by not clipping all. Im trying to get more into trading too so it helps me because I know where all my coupons are by categories. It is cheaper to trade than to buy from a clipping service.Plus you are helping someone else out with their deals. Its too confusing for me the other way..

If you find it too much to sort all you havw clipped, try making coupon mats to lay everything out on. Mskes it much easier to sort as you cut and then place them all in your binder.

Those of you who staple...I am curious...do you staple every coupon...just the top of the page...the corner..ect. And then, how many inserts at a time? TIA

I staple at top left corner, as close to edge as possible, so they are easily pulled from the bottom when needed. The maximum number of coupons I have ever stapled is 15, but I have problems getting a good clean cut on any more than ten at a time.

thanks so much...I have wanted to try this...I am right handed...and not only lost dates, but parts of UPC!!!! So...can't wait to try this out! I ususally can hold @5 now without mistakes, but think the staple would be better!!!

Try the ruler method, it really works and is fast.

I staple each Q either close to the margin or in a blank space in larger Qs. 10 is the most of any insert I have ever had and they cut fine.

I thought it was just to tear apart the pages...not all the q's!?!?! So, if you use it for individual coupons, how many inserts at a time...I wouldn't think more than a few....at least to begin, lol
