Default For those who use "no-clip" method . . .

How long do you generally save the coupon inserts you have filed before getting rid of them? Is there a general rule regarding how long the coupons are usually good (e.g. 3 months) you go by vs. having to look through them all to check the expiration dates?

    Thanks!

I go through them about once a month and when it gets to the point that there are only one or two coupons left that haven't expired, I clip those and throw everything else away. I do look through each one, so I don't have a fast way to do it. I don't have very many q's left from earlier than June or July, but if I had just thrown them all away, I would have missed a few pretty good deals.

I use a combo of clip/no clip. I clip 6 inserts each week then I just collate the remaining inserts. I just look throught them fast once a week, it takes me like 15 minutes, and discard any expired pages. Each week the older inserts are faster since the already expired pages are already out of my folders.

Again posting this suggestion, when you first go through them to see what's there and you write to insert date on the outside, go ahead and find the coupon with the longest expiration date on it. Then you can look at the outside cover and toss the whole insert or send it on the the military families without having to look through them just to check.

I go to the coupon database and look at the oldest issue date for the inserts. It should be the last one when you scroll down.
