    Default Borders Books bankruptcy sale

Thought I would post this as a reminder to everyone who loves books. Borders liquidation sale is going to be happening. The news articles state that it COULD start today. Worth a look for sure if there is a Borders books near you.

The Borders in my town was one of many locations in the first round of closures a few months ago. Their liquidation 'sale' was very slow. I'm not sure if they'll be conducted in the same manner, but I stopped in a couple weeks after it had begun and everything was still only marked 30-40% off list price. Their list prices are very high. List price for a standard Blu-Ray movie was something like $39.99. Even with 40% off, that's still much higher than what you could probably get from Amazon on a normal day. Do keep this in mind if you're planning on checking out the Borders liquidation sale. Needless to say, I didn't purchase anything that day.

I went to the Borders in Greenwood today and everthing was 10%-30% off. There were a lot of people there, but not many good deals. The cashier said they'll be open until mid October, so I'm sure the deals will get better.
