Unhappy wal-mart won't accept these coupons

At my local walmart I was advised that they won't take coupons printed from the internet. I protested that how could they not accept manufacturers coupons and was told the store manager told them not to accept them. Something was mentioned about coupons that were bogus. Has anyone had this problem? I shop at walmart a good bit and would like to use these coupons. Thanks for your help.

There is many threads here that have the Walmart corporate coupon policy on them. Print it and bring it to the store with you. They do accept IP (internet printable). You can show them the veri-fi section on the coupon which validates them. Stands your ground when you know you legally printed them. If not leave, without your items. You are there to shop not to be told you are cheating, a fraud or stealing.

While although, I have never had a coupon rejected by Wal-Mart, in your situation, I would've asked for a manager. HTH.

Use a different cashier one with a friendly face.

I try to use the same cashier, if she's working, and never had a problem with printed coupons or black and white ones.

If it still don't work then ask for a CMS.

I use printable coupons at Wal-Mart, no problem...cashier was very slow and chatty too, but I saved an extra $52.76, so an extra 10-15 minutes with her wasn't bad at all, she even told me about a great place to get cheap frozen custard too, so bonus!!!

Like earlier posts, I would have stood my ground, asked for a manager, and asked to see it in writing in the SOP (standard operating procedures manual). Just remember, if you have perishables, let the mgr know you will want replacements if they become 'frosty' on the outside while 'waiting' for them to decide to do what is stated in THIER SOP!!! If they still give you grief...as stated by earlier posters...leave, without the items in your cart...unless you already paid of course...

if they are telling people to take their coupons to the self-check, that sounds to me like they just don't want to get in trouble for taking them!

It's strange we have a Walmart really close and they won't take Internet Q's, but the Walmart further away from us will take them.

I have also had problems with using internet coupons at Walmart. I usually try to separate everything according to my coupons to make it easier for the cashier. Well I still had to ask for a manager when the cashier got confused and then tried to tell me I couldn't use some of my coupons. I stood my ground and the manager himself ended up ringing up my items and scanning my coupons. He informed me that as long as the coupons scanned on their registers, they would accept them. Only one of my coupons did not scan so I took it back and went back to the store the next day. That particular manager was not there when I went back and I was told by another employee that they do not accept internet coupons. I was infuriated by that time because the store employees obviously need to get their act together and be on the same page when it comes to these internet coupons. I told the woman that the manager from the previous day said that my coupons were acceptable as long as they scanned. The end result was that my coupons scanned fine, even the one that didn't work the previous day and I saved 50% of my total bill. I did leave the store with a small headache but it was worth the hassle.

I have not tried to use coupons in the self check. Could someone explain to me how that works? Do you have to have a store employee present while you scan your items? Where do you put the coupons after you scan them?
