I need a list of the different ways all of you "coupon pros" get your coupons? If you have multiple newspaper clippings are you buying all of those newspapers? Are there links of places that email you coupons? I need a jumper start to get me on the right path. I would appreciate any response.

Buy the best newspaper in your area, get at least 2 copies, I usually buy 4.
Watch for tearpads and booklets at all stores. (I browse a lot in stores, never go home empty handed! Watch at the customer service desks too). Log on to shortcuts.com and cellfire.com, to load electronic coupons to your grocery loyalty cards. If you shop at CVS be sure to log on to their site and register your card number. If your CVS has one, use the scanner to get more CVS coupons. Watch the Internet Printables on this forum, or the main CM website. Visit some of your favorite product websites. E-mail your favorite companies and tell them you love their products. If you shop at stores regularly like the Children's Place or Carters, they have registration for coupons by mail. If you shop Target or Meijer both have coupons available on their websites, as does Kroger.

I think everyone does things differently. Some do buy a lot of copies of the paper but personally I only buy one. I buy the thurs-sun edition of the paper because it is only $0.99/week. Sometimes I will get extras when I know there are good Qs coming out, which you can find out by sorting the Coupon Mom database by date out. You can do this on Saturday afternoons to find out what is coming out on Sunday.
I also have a store that occasionally gives me extra copies of just the inserts late Sunday night when they know they won't sell anymore newspapers. I actually get most of my coupons on-line from the resources you'll find links to here on the main page. If there are products you really like, visit their websites and register to receive e-mails - that's a good way to get Qs. Also, whenever you want to buy something just do a simple google search for the item with the word coupons after it - this has helped me find a lot of good ones. Of course, here on the forums is also a great way to find out about the deals/Qs that are out and a lot of people even do coupon trading which you'll find a forum topic on here... I'm sure others will have lots of great ideas but I hope this at least gets you started... Kathy |
