Angry I'm there too

Spend hours trying to get this right. I get very frustated when I check out and it doesn't look like I've saved much for all my time and effort!

I am brand new to the site, I printed off some online coupons, got the Sunday paper, and grabbed a few grocery circulars (most of them are Wed-Tues and not included in the Sunday paper). I read the E-book for beginners but I am still unsure how to begin! Do I look through the grocery store circulars then search for coupons? Please Help! I am starting to think this won't be worth it but I want to become a coupon queen!

I think the easiest way to do it when just starting out is to look at the Coupon Mom grocery store lists for your area to see what is on sale. Then find the coupons (it does take a few weeks to get a good stockpile of coupons) that you need (they are shown on the Coupon Mom lists). Then head to the store! The longer you do it, the more you will save. This is because your coupon stock grows, allowing you to take advantage of more of the sales. Also, as your stockpile grows, you can afford to wait and ONLY buy things when they are at their rock bottom prices.

How is it that some people seem to get ridiculous savings with coupons — and some of us can barely remember to take our canvas bags to the grocery store, let alone remember to bring coupons? The answer is simple. It takes time to plan a grocery shopping trip. But the time invested can yield big savings!

Here are some tips shared in the free e-book, “Cut Your Grocery Bill in Half” from CouponMom.com:

1. Know Your Top 10 Grocery Items
2. Does Your Store “Double Coupon”?
3. How Is “Buy One, Get One Free” Calculated?
4. Can Coupons Be Electronically Delivered to Your Loyalty Card?
5. Will the Store Email You Coupons or Weekly Circulars?
6. Can You Join Specific Programs Like “Pet Care”?
7. Does Your Store Accept Competitors Coupons?
8. Are There Additional Loyalty Card Perks?
9. Can You Use Both “Store Coupons” and “Manufacturer’s Coupons” on the Same Item?
10. Are There Coupon Limits for the Same Order?

NEWBIES this is MUST read!

Hurray for couponmom.com!!!!
I have to bookmark this to read, I always hear about people spending like 12 cents on their grocery bill and I'm like I should've started couponing long ago but better later than never.

Sweet Tickler - why don't you ask a friend or one of your relatives if they'd be willing ot give you their coupon inserts. I find that most people don't use them (if you can believe ir! )

Another option may be your local library. I never really have thought of it, but they usually get all the local papers, so what do they do with the Sunday inserts? It's worth a try.

Default Loyalty Card

Hi, new here! What is the loyalty card? It your local grocers or pharmacy card that would automatically get coupons downloaded on it? Thanks so much for your help! I see a new hobby coming my way

I was at Target and met this lady today and spoke to me about a couple of sites. I don't know if this is the one she spoke of but, it's nice to be here! Is anyone here from Skippack? Pennsburg?

Thanks,
