Yep, I do. I hate the cold....seriously I don't know how people survive such cold weather.
My friends & family tell me the secret to living in the north is just layering yourself with tons of clothes. I would feel like I'm suffocating. HappyCoupon

I lived in New Mexico for three years and while the dessert is beautiful, I could never get used to the heat (I was born and raised in New England). People from back east would always say "But it's a dry heat." But when it's 110 every day and no shade or cool breeze a 110 degrees is HOT LOL.
![]() Now that I'm back in New England I love the cold. Now, I wouldn't want to live where it's Ice Road Truckers cold (40 below zero) but I don't mind the 20 degree winter days or even the 10 degree days.

I'm from Texas, been here for a long time. I hate the heat! It's sooo miserable in the summer here.. kids have to play outside b4 the sun comes up to avoid the extreme heat. We're going to be relocating to Colorado once our house sells. I've never lived in the cold weather Colo. brings, but I think I'll like the change.
Like I always say ... You can put more clothes on, but you can only take so much off. (unless you belong to a nudist colony of course HAHA)! |

We all head north to our annual Ellijay Apple Festival, come Oct. Vendors have apple-everything! Plus, you can visit the various orchards and try the many varieties of apples, sample cider and take home some fried pies too
![]() One orchard has gotten so carried away they feature tractor-hay rides, a petting zoo, ice cream stand-the works! Families love it! |

Hi Debbiep - we are from Florida, and we love going to northern GA and NC in October. We never pass up a trip to Ellijay to pick up apples, fritters and other things. Your reminder makes me ready to travel there again.
