Print this out and bring it with you so the cashiers can't harrass you when coupon shopping at Albertsons. We are right, cashiers are wrong...like usual.

Area Manager also provided me with her cell number, but I didn't want to post it in a public forum.

I understand there was a situation at one of our stores in Tacoma regarding coupons and how we accept them. First I need to apologize that you did not receive the savings expected at the time of your shopping trip with us. It sounds to me the cashier may have been confused with our current coupon policy as you should have received the $5 discount when you purchased $40 of product regardless of the amount of coupons you used. I have contacted the Front End Manager of the Bridgeport store Nicole, who is very eager to rectify this with you. She has asked to meet with you and resolve the $5 error. Nicole has also assured me the retraining process she is working with all of the cashiers to ensure they all understand our current policies. I know Nicole will work very hard coaching all cashiers to ensure you and other customers have a better experience in the future using these coupons in her store. Thank you for taking time to address this with us as it makes us a better team to resolve our errors and correct them for the future. I used the $5 off $40 coupon twice now since I wrote this email to the Area Service Manager and had no problems. I presume its because the store got properly trained on the policy. In fact, both times the cashiers said I was a smart shopper or something to that effect for presenting the $5 off store coupon before the manufacturer coupons.

Does anyone know what is triggering the $5 off $40 coupons? I have got mine as left-overs at self-check.
