Default Washington Albertsons 3/25-3/31 - Meat Sale-Are these Ok/Good/Great Prices

    Hello

I was wondering if some of you could let me know how they felt about the meat sale that is going on this week. I am still getting most of my meat at Costco as we need it.

I was wondering if this week would be a good week to "stock up" from Albertsons.

The following are at 1.88 lb.

    *Fresh Beef Cross Rib Roast
    *Boneless Pork Top Loin Roasts
    Boneless Chicken Breast
    Port shoulder Style Ribs
    Pork Sirloin Chops

Fresh Extra Lean Ground Beef is 1.99 lb

The two I was really thinking about were the Beef Rib Roast and the Pork Roasts.

Are these ok, good, or great prices for Washington?

    Thank you for the help

    Kelley

The lowest price I've ever paid at Albertsons for ground beef is $1.89. I've gotten it for $1.69 at Safeway twice in the last 3 months.

Not sure about the other prices though.

Personally, I prefer Costco's meats. Their steaks are yummy. I sometimes buy clearanced meat from the grocery stores, but it doesn't match Costco's quality. Clearance meat is good for soups and stews.

I'll buy chicken breasts when they on sale at the grocery stores, but even then you gotta watch it because some is "enhanced" meaning its injected with a sodium solution to beef-up up the weight. Sure, it may be cheap, but 15% of what you are paying for is a salty solution in your chicken.

On hamburger you have to be careful too because of the fat content. It may be cheap, but you may end up getting a lot of far which cooks away leaving you with a lot less meat than you purchased.

    Default Thanks

I do love Costco Meat And that is one reason why I don't pick up meat from other stores very often. I think I will start watching the sales and price out the "special" meat at Coscto to see what I come up with.

Thank you guy for all the information
