    Default "In Ad Coupon" Question

This week there was an in-ad coupon for $1.49 each when you buy 2 Kraft Mayo. I tried to combine this with the $2/2 Kraft Mayo that came out a little bit ago, making them $0.49 each. The register beeped, and wouldn't let me do this... The manager came up and said I couldn't combine two Q's for the item, which I replied one was a store Q and the other a MQ... then the manager said it doesn't matter, you can't have 2 Q's for the same item.

Needless to say, I left without the mayo. I'm pretty sure I'm right on this one though- anyone have any thoughts, or perhaps a copy of their Q policy? Wanted to run it by you all before I went back and stood my ground (and possibly looked stupid).

My albertsons has their coupon policy posted at the customer service counter and there is nothing stating that store q cannot be combined with mq- (mostly their policy just deals with IP). I've definitely combined in ad q with mq without problems. If they give you problems you may want to have the customer service line on your cell and call in the store to straigten things out (of course, you may want to give the CS a call first to make sure they are going to rule in your favor!)

The exact thinghappened to DH today at Foodland. There was a 1.00/2 STORE in ad coupon in OM hotdogs and I gave him a manafacturer coupon for 1.00/2. He was told no and when he tried to explain was told he didnt kow what he was talking about. The manager was rude saying OM had given them permission to "make" the Q for the store and it WAS the same thing due to this??? although it cannot be used anywhere else and walked off.

DH is traumatized and so no more errands for awhile.

I have found my Albertsons to be one of the pickiest as far as accepting coupons. Mine won't take coupons out of anyone else's ads, even if they say MQ on them and DON'T say "redeemable only at . . ." They also won't take a BOGO Q on a BOGO sale. Luckily, I don't need to shop there that often since they tend to not have the best deals/prices anyway . . .

As far as this week's ad coupons, even though they don't say MQ, if you look carefully at the fine print at the bottom of the Q, it does say to mail to Kraft for reimbursement. So I guess that means they are MQs, even though they don't say so. It would be nice if stores would make things a little bit clearer in their ads.

Didn't notice that part.... Grrr!!! I even emailed CS last night, and they responded today with some tripe that didn't address my questions at all. Very irritating. I'll try calling tomorrow and see what I can glean that way.

    Thanks for the input, guys!

I have had the same issue with combining the in-store q with the MFQ q. Last night I tried it with the kraft cheese and the oreo cookies. I was told the reason that they won't go through is because the in-ad q is not an albertson q, it is a mfq q.

    Unhappy in ad Q

It looks like Kraft "has" put out the OK for in ad Q's my local Independent grocery store, that is locally owed has all these Q's in its weekly ad...When I tried to use my mfg. Q's they were also rejected for the same reason.
