I'm pretty much on the same page as the others. Your 70% rule seems like you've got a handle of what's a good stockpile price for the majority of items. I never thought of it percentage terms. One example I have is toiletries. As a rule, for me, it has to be under 0.75 for stockpiling. I should be able to--and can--get body wash, soap, shampoo, razors(good razors and my husband's are the exception), deodorant, etc. for well under $1 if not free. And definitely the cereal under $1 rule applies for me as well. I just stocked up on Cheerios b/c they've been 3/$5 and I had a bunch of coupons making each box 0.57 or 0.67.
