I've only been "seriously" couponing since September but it sure has helped out. I am starting to get a small stockpile on various items but I usually can't get too many of one item unless I shop alone (hubby gets paranoid when cart gets full!). We have a wood stove which we use when the weather stays around freezing so our furnace hardly runs during the day unless its windy. I hang up clothes year-round since I have lines in the basement facing the woodburner. When we get our heating oil delivered once a year the deliveryman always says "Do you know that you haven't got any fuel since September??". We always have a large garden to have fresh produce to can and freeze. My husband and son are avid hunters/fisherman so we save on meat this way also. There are so many different things you can do to save money but you can't possibly do them all! Pick the ones that are a good fit for you and your family then see how much you can save!
