These are great questions, And remember there are never dumb questions.
In the military when they have an APO address that means that the mail is shipped to different centers here in the states to sort the mail. This means it does not have the usual international shipping costs. For this family the AP means that their mail will be sorted in San Fan.

The post office does make special APO flat rate boxes that you can prepay but those are kinda pricey and with those you could fit about 5 grand worth of q's in. I am sending her my first envelope this week, on weds. so i will post how much it cost me. I will post the size of the envelope and the weight etc.

The q's do not have to be expired. They will take current ones if you would like to send them. The reason we ask for expired Q's is because most people do not want to part with current q's we usually like to hold on to these like gold

I just got another email from valarie this morning and she is very excited. She said that even if she gets lots and lots she is already making arrangements with others to make sure they will all be put to good use.
