Sorry I missed this post last week. Too funny...my DD LOVED squash and sweet potatoes. Wouldn't eat anything green out of a jar. I had one of those baby food mashers (put the food in at the top, put the lid on and turn the handle until the food is as smooth as you want it. Can't remember what they're called. We got ours at a garage sale.) You can use it for meat, potatoes, rice, fruit, vegetables and any combination thereof. You could do fruit and cereal, meat/rice/vegetable, several fruits together, etc. One thing I wish we had done differently -- holding off on sweet-tasting foods till closer to one-year old.
