Each different ECB product deal will print its own ECB coupon. If a particular ECB product deal has a limit of more than one, and you qualify for more than one of those deals in the same transaction, the ECB coupon for that deal will have a value that is the multiple of that particular deal. Example:
Deal A gives $2 ECB and the limit is 2 deals
Deal B gives $5 ECB and the limit is 3 deals
Deal C gives $3 ECB and the limit is 2 deals
In a single transaction, you purchase:
2 deals of Deal A
2 deals of Deal B
1 deal of Deal C
At the end of your CRT you will receive:
ECB for $4 from Deal A ($2 x 2 qualifying items)
ECB for $10 from Deal B ($5 x 2 qualifying items)
ECB for $3 from Deal C ($3 x 1 qualifying item)
I personally don't care for higher value ECBs since my purchasing habits do not lend to spending the larger amounts. In the above scenario, I probably would have done Deal B in two separate transactions, and used the $5 ECB I earned for Deal B in the first transaction to pay for the second item of Deal B that I purchased in a second transaction. This keeps my OOP lower, but also lowers the total ECB $$$ I carry at any given time.
Some people can work magic with the high value ECBs, but it's not for me. Right now I'm sitting on 3 $10 ECBs (Aveeno deal, sunglasses deal) and wondering how I'm going to use them. Probably on the cologne that DH likes.
