One store may not be selling those items at all, so they clear them out in order to free up space and $$ to purchase other items of things that sell out more frequently. OR They may get a notice that they are going to be recieving a new shipment and have too many on the shelves OR the items are nearing the end of the shelf life... OR these may be things that have been purchased and returned for what ever reason....etc.
Does that make sense?

That makes sense. I guess I'm confused because I work retail, and our markdowns are done company wide. So the same item will be clearance at every store.
