Pain in the rear
I went to CVS today to take advantage of their Fiber One sale ($1.77 each). Got there and picked up 3 boxes of cereal and 2 boxes of bars. I checkout, pay and then notice on the receipt that 1 box of bars and 1 box of cereal rang up at the regular price. I ask the cashier and she tells me that there is a limit of 3 for this deal. I say ok, then please take the 2 of the items off, I want to return it. She run a refund and it is $4.98 and $1.77 items. I say no, I want to return the 2 items that rang up at regular price. She says I already ran the refund. Just take the money and then buy the box back at $1.77. At this point I was so frazzled. I did that.
I get home and I have only 2 boxes of cereals and 1 box of bars. So, what I just bought at $1.77 is not there. She just put it back on the shelf! AND I did not get the refund for the second item that ran up at regular price. So, I am out of $6.06 ($1.77 and $4.29).
I called up the store manager. She says come in the store and we will review the tape and make it right. Well, the problem is that I went to Super Target which is 20 miles away. This CVS was next to it and I bought the stuff there. I went home and that is where I discovered the item is missing. I did not want to drive all the way back to get my $6.06. She tells me that she needs to see my receipts. I say ok, I am going to fax it to you. I did. She called me back and now going to call the CVS farmacy that is close to me to give me my Fiber One bars.
But turned out that they do not have the bars. So, she is driving to this store to bring that box of bars for me and I am getting a refund for that regular priced box on top of it. And she apologized like 10 times.
I think I am going to stick with my CVS from now on. Never had a problem there.
