You know I always hate to disagree with you lucy, but... My brother is married to a skinny woman who doesn't cook, so when we all showed up at their house for a family gathering she called her mother and asked her to bring some food over. No lie, her mom showed up with 6 different casseroles (all made with at least 2 cans of cream of something soup). I jokingly said to her "What are you? Methodist?". She didn't get the joke and said very seriously "No I'm Presbyterian". I didn't mean to offend but the Methodists in my neck of the woods have a potluck every Wednesday night which is referred to locally as "Kingdom Casserole". I think my little brother's MIL could show even those ladies a thing or two.
I had to swear in my wedding vows to never serve casserole more than 2 nights a week and limit crockpot use to once a week or less. I didn't actually say those exact words, but the DH swears it was included as part of "cherish", which I did say.
