Stop when you see someone in trouble.

Too often I see people drive on by when someone has had an accident or appears to be stranded on the side of the road. I stop almost every time as I always think what if that was me.

I've helped people with jumps, changing tires, getting gas, paying for gas, waiting for tows, use of my phone, quick rides home, pushing dead cars, etc. DH worries about me doing this but I cannot help but believe in the better spirit of people. That same spirit has helped when I've been stranded a number of times. I remember once I had gotten two flat tires after hitting a nasty bump in the highway when switching lanes. There was no shoulder to pull over so I was stuck in a lane. I was there maybe 5 minutes before two people pulled over at 4 in the morning no less to help me change the one tire and then a tow truck came by and seeing me stuck pulled over and offered to tow me to safe spot on the side of the highway for free. I was also given a ride home....45 minutes away.

It pays to be rich with kindness.
