have you tried this work around? Edit it the way you want the photo.
press PRTSC.... open Paint (under accessories) click in the white area.. then click edit/paste (or use ctrl-v)
To crop to fit the photo... I use the square tool... corralle the area I want it cropped to, ctrl-x then click file/new... do not save. when new window loads ctrl-v and save as save a .jpg file.
It's a bit of a pain... but once you do it a few times it's quite easy.
