what exactly is the register rewards?
This is a catalina q that prints out @ register according to items you have purchased. The cashier should be handing you this/these that print out along with your receipt/change. Make sure to look at the machine they print out from to be sure you get what you should. If cashier doesn't hand them to you, then ask for them. If you know should be receiving RR and nothing prints out. Point that out to them and ask them to get mgr to get it printed out. Just point out what you purchased and should be receiving in rr's and didn't get. Also keep in mind that a lot of the rr's...When you use an rr you received from a certain item, and use that rr to purchase another of that item...you will not receive an rr again for that item if it has listed only 1 per in it's ad. To get more of a specific rr, just don't use one on purchase of same/like item is all. That's when you do separate ring ins to benefit your oop in using the rr's.
why do you need a filler?
Your total purchase was an amount that is less than your total q & rr combined total. ie...
Purchase total = $5.00
q's = $2.75 [balance due now = $2.25]
RR = $3.00 [This would leave balance due a negative $0.25]
So since you can not have a negative balance, you need to add some more to order to bring the total into the positive..or an even -0- if possible. You do this by adding to your order what is referred to as "filler" item[s]. In wanting to keep the balance as low as possible, try and go with the least expensive item you can use @ the store. WAGS has q's in their flyer that are for pencils @ $0.20/each w/q. So....
Add 2 x pencils @ $0.20/each = $0.40 [balance is now = $0.15]
OOP = $0.15 [plus any tax on the pencils also]
how do i know how many register rewards something has?
By looking in their flyer. The items that have RR's on them will also have a notation in the ad for what you will receive in RR & how many is required to be purchased in order to receive such. On occasion, you will receive RR for an item that wasn't listed in the flyer also.
HTH!
